Through this work, she will be pursuing her desire to use applied research to aid current avian conservation efforts. Kate was a KBO Research and Monitoring intern in 2008, and that year completed her BS at The Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA. She is currently a volunteer wildlife rehabilitator and education raptor handler at Chintimini Wildlife Center in Corvallis.
