Sherri Kies, Research and Monitoring Project Leader
As a Project Leader on the Research and Monitoring team, Sherri assists in study design and data management in addition to supervising field crews and carrying out field work. During the summer of 2010 Sherri managed a KBO nest searching crew in the Illinois Valley as part of a meadow restoration study.
Sherri first came to KBO in 2001 for an eight-month banding internship after earning her bachelor’s degree in biology and environmental studies from Bowdoin College in Maine. Sherri went on to lead the KBO banding project and point count program before moving on to work seasonally on a variety of wildlife projects with other non-profits, the U.S. Forest Service, state wildlife departments, and the U. S. Geological Survey. Sherri is excited to return to work with KBO. |
