Josée Rousseau

Josée works on advancing science and education programs at the Humboldt Bay Bird Observatory, a KBO affiliate organization.  Josée works with the KBO Executive Director, Research and Monitoring Director and Research Advisor.


Josée completed her BA in Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (1997) and her MS in Environmental Sciences (2004) at McGill University in Montreal, Canada.   She also has a certificate in GIS and remote sensing from Humboldt State University (2007).  For her Master’s research, Josée looked at urban bird diversity, assemblages and use of vegetation.  Josée worked as an intern for the Redwood Sciences Laboratory (RSL) in 2004 and has since been involved with several Humboldt Bay Bird Observatory, RSL and KBO projects.   She is also a North American Banding Council certified Trainer.
