  2. Bird Banding Sponsorship

You can help support the day-to-day expenses of KBO through two NEW bird banding sponsorship programs.  Bird banding is a method to track bird population and demographic trends over time.  Bird banding allows KBO to explore why bird populations are declining.  Results can help us focus land management practices toward more effective bird and habitat conservation.

Adopt a Bird or Adopt a Day!  To learn more about these programs, view the brochure here.  Looking for the perfect gift?  Give the gift of bird conservation now!

  3. Endowment

KBO's Science and Education Bird Conservation Endowment was established in 2006 with a generous gift from the Baldwin Family Trust in memory of Paul and Sarah Baldwin.  This fund will support KBO's efforts to advance bird conservation through science and education into perpetuity.  You too can invest in KBO's future and contribute to the endowment.  To contribute, contact KBO by clicking here, or send your contribution with the designation "endowment" to KBO, PO Box 758, Ashland, OR 97520.

  4. Gift & Estate Planning

Join KBO's Legacy Club.  You can provide now for a future gift to KBO by including a bequest provision in your will or revocable trust.  Another option is to designate KBO as the beneficiary or partial beneficiary of an IRA or other qualified retirement plan.  How it works: You name KBO as the beneficiary (or partial beneficiary) of your IRA, 401(k) or other qualified plan.  This is easily accomplished by notifying the custodian of the account.  After your lifetime, the designated percentage of your plan passes to KBO tax-free.

Planned gifts to KBO help us prepare for the future: your future and the future of bird populations and healthy habitats.  A variety of options are available.  Speak to your financial advisor or contact KBO by clicking here.
