KBO’s bird banding program provides valuable infomration about bird population demographics and migration in the Klamath Siskiyou Bioregion.  Several other federal agencies and and science organizations also band birds to help answer questions species longevity, migration, and population status. 

If you find a dead bird with a metal band, colored bands, or both, please report your finding to the Bird Banding Lab of North America.  You will be asked to report the band number and where and when you found the bird.
