Summer Camps
Klamath Bird Observatory partners with ScienceWorks Hands on Museum to offer summer camps to children ages 4 to 10.  In the summer of 2009, KBO will offer 5 week long summer camps on birds, field and garden ecology, bird conservation, and bats.  For more information please visit ScienceWorks.

KBO educators are also contracted to teach a wide variety of science based summer camps and programs in our region.  Including:

Resources and People (RAP) Camp is a summer camp sponsored by the US Forest Service, US Fish and Wildlife Service, and Oregon State Extension for high school students throughout Oregon and northern California.  KBO teaches the ornithology portion of the summer camp.

Klamath Outdoor Science School is an outdoor education school for Southern Oregon.

SOU Academy provides week long summer camps to highly motivated and talented youth.  Klamath Bird Observatory teaches two camps on ornithology and field ecology.

North Mountain Park offers summer camps for which KBO will occasionally lead banding interpretation programs.
