Cooperative
Research Projects

When
the Migration Monitoring Network (the precursor to LaMNA) was first created
in 1991, it was envisioned that the network would bring together researchers
for cooperative research projects spanning regional boundaries. This vision
was realized in 2006 when our members came together with The
Institute for Bird Populations, and UCLA's
Center for Tropical Research for the Avian Influenza Research Project.
We are continuing our partnership with UCLA in West Nile Virus Monitoring
and Feather Sampling research, and hope that these will be the first of
many projects to come.
