Park Flight (National Park Service)

The Park Flight Migratory Bird Program works to protect shared migratory bird species and their habitats in both U.S. and Latin American national parks and protected areas through developing bird conservation and education projects and creating opportunities for technical exchange and cooperation.  Since 2007, Klamath Bird Observatory and Oregon Caves National Monument have partnered in bringing student interns from Belize, Colombia, and Costa Rica to Oregon for technical training in bird banding, surveying, and conservation education and outreach through Park Flight.

The Park Flight Program is a partnership between the National Park Service, National Park Foundation, National Fish & Wildlife Foundation, and United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and is made possible through the generous support of American Airlines and the NPS Natural Resource Challenge.
